  • It is believed that their paper money eventually became known as “ flying Money”
  • Even though the paper money wasn’t very popular, in 900 – 1000, it become more useful until a cooper shortage forced merchants and Song Dynasty Government officials to issue and accept paper notes backed by gold reserves – First legal tender in the world!!!

Band-Aid

A 28-year old Cotton Buyer, Mr. Earle wanted to find a solution to his wife, Josephine Dickson, a New Jersey housewife frequent injuries like finger cuts,  So here's how he turned a simple idea into a great product, which is used by billions of people all over the world:

  • He took a strip of gauze, laid it down on the sticky side of some surgical tape and over both laid a strip of crinoline so the whole could be rolled up and not stick to itself
  • Ever since, whenever his wife cut herself, she could cut off a ready-made bandage.
  • Dickson, was working for Johnson & Johnson at that time and he presented his innovative idea to higher-ups.
  • Outcome: even though Band-Aid was not a mega hit at first, it was welcome by lots of people, and then the company started distributing them free of charge to a demographic that had an even greater need than housewives

Who invented A.T.M Machine?

A.T.M Machine

The first mechanical cash dispenser, which is known as ATM machine was invented by Luther George Simjian. It was first  installed in New York City in 1939 by Luther. Here are some other facts about
ATM!

  •  Mr. Luther, inventor, called it " Hole-in-the- wall machine"
  • No one used that machine except few gamblers and prostitutes and it disappeared after 6 months.
  • The real breakthrough emerge in 1969 by another inventor named Donald C. Wetzel who invented automated Teller Machine for a company called Docutel, which was installed at Chemical Bank in NY.
  • 4 Years later at least there were 2000 A.T.M installed in the U.S.,  and NOW, today there are more than 400,000
  • It costs $30K to make and installed in different business areas

*I think I can conclude the fact that Mr. Luther George should receive huge credit for introducing the whole A.T.M ideas in human lives. However, Luther's vision probably came into absolute reality by Donald C. Wetzel*
